Many people do not recommend it because it can actually be dangerous to your health. However, if you are looking to lose a large sum of weight quickly it is recommended to try these few things.

Walk as Much as Possible

When wanting to lose weight it is obvious that you are going to want to add exercise to your list. Instead of driving to local places in town, simply walk. Walking to the grocery store or gas station for whatever your needs are will burn calories. Take the stairs instead of the elevator.  Look at every opportunity to walk as burning calories and becoming more fit.

It is recommended the you drink 6-12 cups of green tea a day. There is such a large gap because 6 is good but 12 is better. So, if you forget to drink a cup it is not a big deal as long as you are getting at least 6 cups a day in.

Now, if you are a person who forgets about their tea whether it is forgotten in the microwave or just simply forgetting because you are busy, make a batch the day before. Green tea is easier to drink cold. So, the night before simply prepare enough for the next day before you go to bed. This is easier because you know exactly how much you have to drink that day as well.

Here is a little tip about drinking your green tea. Do NOT add any sweeteners. It may not taste the greatest but you should just chug it as fast as possible. If you add anything, no matter how much or how little, it defeats the purpose of helping your metabolism.

Reduce Sodium

The more sodium you intake the more water that stays in the body. This also leads to bloating and discomfort. Your goal is to eat less than 1,500 mg per day.

There are a few ways to reduce sodium that are pretty easy (at least for one day). This includes:

  • Cut out processed foods.
  • Cereal, baked goods, cheese, lunch meats, frozen vegetables, canned anything, sliced bread
  • Eat foods that have little to no processing
  • Eggs, wild rice, fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, salads, unsalted nuts and seeds

Reduce Starch

Like sodium, starches helps the body retain water. Cutting starch from your diet you will retain less of the water that you are consuming throughout the day. You are going to want to avoid these foods:

  • Pasta
  • French Fries
  • Bread
  • Cookies
  • Cakes
  • Rice
  • Baked Potatoes
