Is Zzzquill Benadryl?

Seriously. Are there any differences between them? For those whom have been wondering: Is Zzzquill Benadryl? The answer is yes, of course they are the same, but they have some little differences that make them diverse from one another.

First of all, what are they?

They are medicaments used to fight insomnia, and you can actually buy them without a prescription. They are, also, legally considered non-addictive, and are allowed by the law in several countries. Still, although doctors have given their ok to use them, they do not recommend it to use it on a daily basis, especially in a long-term run.

It is recommended to try them out for a two-weeks period, and check if the insomnia has been relieved. If not, it is recommended to check yourself with a doctor to discover new ways to fight insomnia, since relying on them for too much may have negative effects (Like most medicaments when used excessively)

But now, to the main point, what are the differences between them?

Let’s talk about diphenhydramine.

Diphenhydramine, also known as Benadryl, is the main component used in these pills. Meaning that they are both made from this main component, and their purposes and effects are pretty much the same.

The only difference between them is the form which they are provided and their prices.

Zzzquill is usually more expensive than the general Benadryl and comes in the form of a liquid capsule.

Benadryl is cheaper than Zzzquill and comes in the form of a solid pill.

Some people say that Zzzquill’s effects are faster to experience thanks to its liquified form, but this is yet to be proven.

The fact that they are made for the same purpose and the effects are practically the same is well known between those that use them.

But, are they safe?

Everything is bad in excess.

We all know that any form of medication can be harmful to our body if taken in excess.

Zzzquill and Benadryl are not the exception.

Earlier we said that is it not recommended to take these pills for more than two weeks, and even more specifically, no more than five days per week.

But why?

Well, the answer is simple: A lot of people whom have exceeded the intake of the pill ended suffering from rebound insomnia.

Rebound insomnia, in simple words, is when the insomnia you “healed” or tried to heal comes back even stronger than before. And to make things worse, your brain becomes dependent to the pill and sleeping without it turns to be harder than before. From that is where the famous dependence to OTC sleeping aids comes from: the fact that many people have suffered from the excessive intake of pills is alarmingly real. As long as you stick to the recommended amount, for the recommended time, you will be okay.

There are also several ways to fight insomnia without relying too much on sleeping aids, and we will gladly share them with you:

  • Not watching TV or using a computer or a phone before sleeping will help you a lot to fall asleep.
  • Reading a book before sleeping makes a good habit, and will definitely help you fall asleep.
  • Meditating before sleeping can help too!
  • Sleeping on a dark room without strong sounds can be the key. We would also recommend to use some pleasant sounds such as the sound of the rain or wind.

You can follow these tips while you are under the effects of Benadryl to get to enjoy them, and who knows? Perhaps when the treatment ends, you won’t need them anymore!
