Nvidia 1050 TI vs RX 580 Review

We have done a lot of comparisons between Nvidia graphic cards, but what about Nvidia vs AMD? Today we bring a comparison between the Nvidia 1050 TI vs RX 580, an AMD graphic card known out there for being capable of running most games at 1080p, but let’s talk a little about each graphic card before deciding which one is the best for you.

We all know that all graphic cards out there are good enough to do their job. They just target different types of users and needs and deciding which one suits your needs is mostly related to what you are looking from a GPU. Of course, reviews and comparisons are done to facilitate this decision, and that’s what we are going to do.

When we talk about the Nvidia 1050 TI, we are talking about 4GB GDDR5 of video ram. It is capable of running most games out there at 1080p but at lower FPS when tuning things at ultra-settings. The Nvidia GTX 1050 TI is capable of running some games at ultra-settings yet you will have to tweak some graphic features or reduce some settings to run them properly at 60 FPS, since most games run around 40 to 50 FPS, like PUBG, a well know First/Third person shooter Battle Royale, and The Witcher III, an open world RPG. The 1050 TI is capable of running PUBG at ultra-settings in 1080p at 43 FPS, and it runs The Witcher III at 38 FPS. If we talk about Battlefield I and Battlefield IV, it runs them at 41 to 55 FPS, respectively. The list of games in where you can play at ultra-settings with the GTX 1050 TI is reduced, yet you’ll be able to play them with decent FPS at high-settings or ultra-settings with some reduced features. If you are thinking of breaking the cap of 60 FPS, this graphic card is not for you, but if you are satisfied with playing games at 1080p at high-settings, this one is the one you should pick… But, firstly, consider its price.

The GTX 1050 TI costs between $155 to (Its release price was $170) yet, the AMD RX 580 costs $200… And this last one is capable of outperforming the GTX 1050 TI. Although this graphic cards produces more heat, it is capable of playing most games at 1080p at ultra-settings. It outperforms the GTX 1050 TI when running The Witcher III, reaching up to 68 FPS. At playing PUBG, it reaches up to 68 FPS too. With Battlefield I and IV, it reaches 73 and 103 FPS, respectively.

And Fornite. We all know Fornite by now. A famous Battle Royale third person shooter in where you build structures to defend and reach places to develop strategies and plays that you wouldn’t be able to do in most classic shooting games. When playing Fornite at 1080p in ultra-settings, the GTX 1050 TI is capable of running at 69 FPS while the RX 580 runs it at 88 FPS.

According to users, the RX 580 is about 20% faster than the Nvidia 1050 TI, but when talking about FPS,  it outperforms the GTX 1050 TI by up to 40%.
